Angela Wong Biography

Originally from Hong Kong, I immigrated into Canada in 1975.
Since my childhood I have had a deep interest in the arts. Family and career responsibilities have caused me to temporarily put my interest aside. However, the past several years I have been allowed the opportunity to continue with my artistic endeavors.

I completed several art courses at Halliburton School of Arts, Fleming College, Curry's workshop, Ajax and Scarborough Community Centres. These classes ranged from sketching, Chinese watercolors, acrylic and oil mediums.

Frequently I am praised by my mentors about my artistic and creative abilities. I am proud of my work and wish to share my paintings with the public.

Through my travels to various countries in Europe and provinces in Canada I was inspired by the paintings of the master's and the beauty of our world's nature.

Images and memories collected from those travels and everyday life are depicted in my paintings with warm and calm. I created my own style and since I have a deep appreciation for nature, the subjects I choose are often landscapes, birds and animals. I express my creativity by capturing the nature's shapes, moods, lights and shadows and transferred them into a canvas.

My desire is to bring the same delight and excitement I feel as an artist to the viewers.
