Angela's Painting Style

Realism, Each painting starts by selecting an object of interest, study the composition, balance, colours, patterns, contrast, and shadows. Sometime painting a detailed image over a blurry background helps to ensure that the subject is the focal point and creates a tridimentional effect.

Angela's Subjects

Every painting’s subject is selected to tell a story of serenity, peace, beauty, simplicity, desire, and memories.

Artwork finishings

All materials used in Angela’s paintings are of the highest studio quality. Oil and acrylic paint are of professional grade. Stretched canvas galley size, unless a special request otherwise.Finished artwork is coated with UV protective varnish.

Paintings that tells you a story

Acrylic on Canvas 24"x 36"

Water Lilies

What inspired this painting is the recognition that at this moment in time, I felt the beauty of the environment surrounding me. I tried passionately to express and convey this feeling onto the canvas. Here we can see how the lilies join collectively as a way of helping the group survive as does the human being; each individual contributing to the success of the whole community.
This crowd of lilies is forming a colony helping each other stay afloat so that they may continue to exist. Chances are that a large group supporting each other will survive against all odds.
Hope you enjoy this painting as much as I did painting it.
Climbing Vine
Acrylic on Canvas 18" x 24"
I had to capture this beautiful representation of nature’s struggle and determination to stay alive.
Despite the barriers of the fence, the vines can break through the small gaps in order to find their way to reach the sun, which is critical to their survival.
Much like human beings, these leaves have had to look for ways to overcome barriers and find their path in life.
This painting makes me feel happy, alive, and appreciative of nature’s beauty and undying determination.

About Angela
Since my childhood I have had a deep interest in the arts. Family and career responsibilities have caused me to temporarily put my interest aside. However, in the past several years I have had the opportunity to continue with my artistic endeavors. I completed several art courses at Halliburton School of Arts, Fleming College, Curry’s, Ajax, and Scarborough Arts Centres. These studies ranged from sketching, Chinese watercolors, acrylic and other mediums. Frequently I am praised by my mentors about my artistic and creative abilities. I am proud of my work and wish to share my paintings with the public. Through my travels to various countries in Europe and provinces in Canada I was inspired by the paintings of the master’s and the beauty of our world’s nature. Images and memories collected from those travels and everyday life are depicted in my paintings with warmth and calmness. I created my own style and since I have a deep appreciation for nature, the subjects I choose are often landscapes, birds, animals. and everyday images that express my creativity by capturing nature’s shapes, moods, lights, and shadows and transferring them into canvas. My desire is to bring the same delight and excitement I feel as an artist to the viewers.
